These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SilverStream Invoicing plugin and all related services provided by SilverStream Digital (Pty) Ltd ("SilverStream Digital", "we", "us", "our"). By purchasing, downloading or using SilverStream Invoicing you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The Plugin

SilverStream Invoicing is a WordPress plugin that enables invoicing, quoting and client management functionality within your WordPress installation. The plugin is provided in three tiers:

  • Free — available from the WordPress.org plugin directory at no cost.
  • Pro — a paid upgrade available from silverstreamdigital.co.za/ssd-invoicing.
  • Business — a paid upgrade available from silverstreamdigital.co.za/ssd-invoicing.

2. Licence

Upon purchasing a Pro or Business licence, SilverStream Digital grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the plugin on a single WordPress installation. The licence key issued to you is tied to your domain and may not be shared, resold or transferred without written consent from SilverStream Digital.

The plugin code is licensed under the GNU General Public Licence v2.0 or later in compliance with WordPress.org requirements. This does not affect the commercial licence terms governing your right to receive updates and support.

3. Payment

All payments are processed securely via PayFast. By completing a purchase you agree to PayFast's terms of service. SilverStream Digital does not store your payment card details.

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). International customers may be subject to currency conversion by their bank or card provider. SilverStream Digital is not responsible for any conversion fees or exchange rate differences.

All sales are once-off payments. There are no recurring subscription fees unless explicitly stated.

4. Refunds

Due to the digital nature of software products, we do not offer refunds once a licence key has been issued and the plugin has been downloaded. If you experience a technical issue that we are unable to resolve within a reasonable timeframe, please contact us at support@silverstreamdigital.co.za and we will review your case.

5. Updates and Support

Pro and Business licence holders are entitled to plugin updates and email support for as long as their licence remains active on a supported domain. SilverStream Digital reserves the right to modify or discontinue updates at any time, though we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice.

The free version receives community support through the WordPress.org support forums.

6. Your Data

SilverStream Invoicing stores all plugin data — including client information, invoices and quotes — exclusively in your own WordPress database on your own server. SilverStream Digital does not have access to, and does not collect, any data created within the plugin.

When activating a Pro or Business licence, your licence key and domain name are transmitted to our licence server for validation purposes only. No personal data, client data or financial data is ever transmitted to SilverStream Digital.

7. Limitation of Liability

SilverStream Invoicing is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. SilverStream Digital does not warrant that the plugin will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SilverStream Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the plugin.

SilverStream Invoicing is a tool to assist with invoicing and financial administration. It is not a substitute for professional accounting, legal or tax advice. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the plugin complies with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

8. Intellectual Property

SilverStream Invoicing and all associated branding, design and documentation are the intellectual property of SilverStream Digital (Pty) Ltd. You may not reproduce, redistribute or create derivative works from our proprietary assets without prior written consent.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

SilverStream Digital reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the plugin after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top of this page will reflect when terms were last updated.
